Desert Wind Chandelier

Raw yet elegant, the Desert Wind was inspired by William Brand's journey to Namibia where he was touched by the slenderness and pure beauty of the branches and trees scattered across the land. Yesterday and tomorrow cross and merge into this lighting sculpture, both lost in the haze of the warming light.

When creating, William draws inspiration from nature, archetypes, music, film, universal human emotions, and his own life experience. Thanks to the power of shape, these secret stories are subtly expressed in all of his work as he crafts with his own hands — drawing on cardboard, cutting the metals, and moulding the plaster prototypes to produce one-off pieces.
